Review by hotel critic
If you're looking for a solid base in Rome that balances value with a touch of comfort, Dell'Urbe is worth considering. Just a stone's throw from Termini Station, it stands out for its practicality. I appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, which were consistently well-maintained during my stay. The buildings might not offer the opulence of a high-end hotel, but the essentials-think efficient air conditioning, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi-are all there. An electric kettle in the room was a nice touch, letting me enjoy my cup of tea on my schedule. Michela, the landlord, was incredibly supportive, accommodating both my early check-in and late check-out. While there might not be lavish amenities, the continental breakfast served in the rooms was decent, and you can rest easy with 24-hour security. If you want no-frills comfort close to transport links without breaking the bank, Dell'Urbe could be your best bet in Rome.
